The main parts of Vile are played by Eric Jay Beck, April Matson, Akeem Smith, Greg Cipes, Maya Hazen, Elisha Skorman, Heidi Mueller, Rob Kirkland, McKenzie Westmore, and Ian Bohen.

Plot:
At the beginning of the movie, we see a man is being tortured and something was going on with some chemicals.

Then the original movie begins with two couples, who are all friends, just finishing their camp outside the city. They are about to start for their home, when one girl gives some drugs to the other girl for safekeeping. On their way to home, they stop at a fuel station for refilling, when a lady comes to them asking for a lift. They agree and the lady gets on their car. The lady claims herself to be a perfume expert. When they reach to that lady’s car, she insists everyone to have some of her perfume’s samples. She goes to her car to bring the samples but instead, comes back wearing a gas mask and puts everyone in the car in sleep by spraying a gas.

The two couples wake up in a strange room and find four more people in the room. Suddenly, one of the other four people comes and breaks the finger of one of the girls. They all become furious and start a fight. But, soon both of the parties calm down and then see the video that the others are talking about.

In that strange cabin, there is a T.V.  and the recording of a women plays on that T.V. that tells them what is happening here. The woman tells that they are from a pharmaceutical company and they want to take some special chemicals which are produced by human brain only when people are in extreme pain, stress or trauma. Each of them has a small jar attached on their back, which is connected to their brain. They have to torture each other so that, those chemicals are produced and filled to a specific quantity. When the bar reaches 100%, the doors will open and they can all get out of this cabin.

The 8 of them gets divided into different opinions. Some of them believes the video tape, others don’t. But none of them can find a way out of that cabin. One of them doesn’t believe this at all and pulls the cords from his neck, and dies instantly. The others get scared and decide to follow what the lady has said. At first, together the torture one of them to fill his part of the bar, which, finally, brakes his leg. Then they have a lottery to decide who’s next and follow the serial.

They keep on torturing each of them by turn to fill the bar. The girlfriend, who has the drugs, gives one to her boyfriend so ease his pain, but instead he has to endure more pain to fill his part. A girl from the two couples is pregnant, so her boyfriend and the other 2 friends endure the torture for her.

Enduring all the pains, finally they all manages to fill the bar and starts to go out of the cabin one by one. But things don’t go smooth, one of them gets trapped again, who, to survive, has to do it all again completely by herself. The others who escape also find that the lady on the video was not honest about the getting out part of the plan and the plan seemed different to what she mentioned earlier. They also find a rat among them.

My review about this movie:
First of all, Vile is a very disturbing movie. And by referring disturbing, I mean most of us will not enjoy watching this movie at all.

The one of the very few good things about this movie is its plot. The plot is exciting and innovative. A very good thriller movie can be made with the same plot. The ending was also interesting.

The acting and the screenplay were not as bad as they were expected to be. The dialogues were poor. The make ups were also good.

The set design is very poor. The glass windows are visible several times in the whole movie which could easily be broken. And it is not believable how 7 persons cannot get out of wooden cabin who were provided all the equipment like gas, fire, axe, screw-driver, knife and so on.

The whole movie is full of tortures and most of the scenes were graphic. All these torture scenes should seem pointless to anyone other than the hardcore fan of this genre.

Although there is no nudity in it, but it is easily understandable that this movie is not for children.

So, finally, there is nothing to enjoy in the movie Vile and I felt like I’ve wasted my time watching it. I obviously, will not recommend watching Vile to anyone.

Have you watched it already? How did feel about it? Write in comments.

Munger Road Movie Review

Munger Road

Munger Road is a horror thriller movie released in 2011. This movie is based on the local myths and the urban legends of Munger Road, which is located in Bartlett, Illinois. The film is written and directed by Nicholas Smith and starred by Bruce Davison, Randall Batinkoff, Trevor Morgan, Brooke Peoples, Hallock Beals and Lauren Storm.

Plot:
Four teens (two couples) starts for an adventure where they want to see and record the paranormal activities of Munger Road. Legend has it, if they put their car in neutral gear and then stop it on the rail crossing, some ghost kids will push the car to safety. Although the girlfriends were not interested about it at all, their boyfriends were over excited to record this thing. They go to that spot and put some powder on their car’s bumper and then wait in the car. Their car really gets pushed by someone or something and they find prints of someone’s hand on the powder of the bumper.

At the same time, the sheriff of their town gets the information that a serial killer has escaped from the prison, who is responsible for the killing of several teens near the Munger Road. The next day is the day of a local festival and a lot of people are coming to this town for that, so the sheriff and the mayor gets really serious to catch the killer. The sheriff, along with his deputy, goes to the killer’s previous home, where someone hits the deputy in his head in the dark and escapes. Then they start to look for the killer in all possible hiding places. They also find an abandoned car in the town.

Meanwhile, the teens in the Munger Road start their journey back. On the way, suddenly their car stops and they can’t start it again. It is an empty place with no houses or passing cars nearby and with no signal in their cell phones, so at first, they plan to stay in the car till the dawn. But later, they change plan and a boy goes out searching for help. In the car the others get scared when he does not come back in few hours. Suddenly, two of them get sms from that boy, where one of the sms urges them to run away from the car. The boy in the car checks the recording in his camera and finds another man’s presence near their car. Then the girlfriend of the boy who left earlier, leaves the car to seek help. Only two were in car and soon, someone comes to the car. The boy manages to run away before that person attacks but the girl’s fate is not shown. He again comes to the car to look for her girlfriend and then gets attacked by that person.

In the town, the sheriff and his deputy look for the killer at an underground tunnel which runs to a cabin near the Munger Road. At one point, they get separated and the deputy finds the remains of the body of that killer’s victim. The sheriff heads for the cabin in his car. The girl, who left the car second, reaches the cabin and gets attacked by someone. She manages to escape and finds her boyfriend hiding there. The mysterious person again catches them but finally, leaves the girl unharmed. Then the sheriff reaches the cabin, finding no bodies near the car or at the cabin, except the living girl. Then the sheriff learns a very strange information about the killer, which changes the whole scenario.

My review about this movie:
I don’t want to draw conclusion fast about Munger Road.

The plot is good and thrilling, except the ending. Everything was going fine throughout the movie and near the end, it may really make you thrilled, until at the very end, you will find the movie is incomplete, as it ends abruptly  with showing ‘to be continued’. It felt very odd without any indication ago in the poster or throughout the movie. Regular viewers like us have every right to feel cheated by the way it ends.

To talk about the other aspects, the acting and the dialogues were actually good. The tension of this thriller movie keeps on building slowly and the director has succeed to keep us wondering about what is happening out there, without knowing exactly what to expect. Several times, it felt like its going to be a horror movie. In the middle of the movie, I was wondering why I haven’t heard about it earlier, as it seemed to be a pretty good one. Then I realized, it’s the ending which has taken all the credit away from this one.

The screenplay was also good. Two completely different stories, the story of the teens and the story of the sheriff, went parallel and converged beautifully at the cabin near the end.

But still, there were some plot-holes, which the director could avoid to improve the quality of the Munger Road. For example, if the prank about the ghost was played by the boys, then who pushed their car? How did they get the sms where there was no network? We saw the killer attacked a boy near the car, but how come the sheriff didn’t find any sign when he went there? And how come, two persons sitting in a silent car, can’t hear when their car’s trunk is being opened?

There are no adult scenes in this movie, so you can safely watch it with kids.

So, overall, I liked almost everything about Munger Road except the ending. Moreover, by searching on internet, I could not see any possibility of part 2 till when I’m writing this review. So I don’t know what the director is trying to do with this movie. And at the end, the ‘to be continued’ did not give me a good feeling. I will not recommend Munger Road to anyone, at least until I see any possibility of its second part.

Anyway, you may find some interesting facts about the myths of the actual Munger Road by searching over internet.

1000 Times More Brutal is an American crime action thriller movie released in 2012. This film is produced, written and directed by Kamal Ahemd. Plot:

The movie is about a man (named Antonio) and his three friends. At the beginning of the movie, we see one friend of Antonio gets kidnapped. While Antonio was enjoying with his two other friends at a bar, a man gives them a VCD, which, when played, shows how the kidnapped friend has been tortured and murdered.

Antonio knows that the other three of them are also in danger, so using his late uncle's reputations, he asks help to a mobster. When the mobster asks him in details about what actually happened, we see how Antonio and his friends has fallen in this life threat.

Three years ago, when the four of them were going somewhere in one night, a car blocked their way in a cross section, even when the signal was green. They started shouting to that car, but unfortunately, that car belonged to some local gangster. The team of that gangster came out of the car and beat Antonio and his friends severely.

Few months later from then, one of Antonio's friends found the gangster and his working place. They planned to rob that gangster to get their revenge. They planned the whole thing and examined all their possibilities. They spent enough time for taking their preparations and finally, robbed the gangster. After the robbing, they went to some place far away and enjoyed with their money. At one time there, four of them dropped a few drops of blood on a bill and kept that as a symbol of their bond.

Now after all this time, the gangster is attacking Antonio's group. After listening everything, the mobster (whom Antonio called) agrees to set up a meeting between Antonio and the furious gangster. When Antonio tells this other two friends about it, they become furious at first, but then agrees to Antonio. His wife also gives him her support.

At the scheduled time, Antonio meets the gangster in presence of his guardian mobster. The gangster demands his money back. But its not possible for Antonio to get all these money he spent already. Finally, the only solution which gets agreed by both is, Antonio will help the gangster to collect an amount of pending money from a party.

So, Antonio, along with his two friends, head to that place to collect the money. But everything doesn't go according to their plans.

My review about this movie:

First of all, i didn't like this movie at all.

The plot was okay. The ending seemed shocking and unexpected, but overall, the whole story of 1000 Times More Brutal looked realistic.

The weakest points of this movie are poor acting and bad screenplay. The director had the chance to make a better movie then this based on the same plot, but failed completely. The bad direction and bad acting has ruined the whole movie. Specially, the acting of the leading character Antonio were the poorest of them all, followed by his friends. The acting of the villain characters were comparatively better.

The dialogues were also poor, nothing to interest anyone at all. Dialogues are very important for gangster movies likes this, but the director has also failed to realize their importance.

How their identities was revealed to the gangster seemed completely unrealistic. The director has also wasted enough time to show some unnecessary scenes, which didn't have much effect on the main plot.

The screenplay were also poor, as I said earlier. Even with a plot like this, 1000 Times More Brutal will completely fail to keep you interested.

For the language, violence and nude scenes, this movie is not for kids.

So, overall, I didn't enjoy this movie at all. After watching it, i felt like I've wasted my time. I will not recommend 1000 Times More Brutal to anyone.

Plot:

At the beginning of this movie, we see a female cop, named Mary, leading her peaceful life with her husband and her only son. Everything around them is going fine, until one day, when her husband and son heads out to see a game, another car stops them on the way and someone from that car shoots them. Both of the father and the son gets brutally murdered there.

At first, the lady breaks down completely. She stops answering the phone and plays with her son's toys for hours. One day, her boss takes her to his office and shows him the videotape of the two cars. She asks her boss to give her the case to solve, but he refuses.

In the meantime, we see two Spanish-speaking boys, who has done some kind of job successfully and got paid a handsome amount. After returning home, one of them finds that his wife has been sick and has gone to her village. He then starts for that village in his car.

Mary starts inquiring about the murders. She meets a gang leader, with whom, she seems to have some kind of history. The gang leader feels sympathy for her, but can only tell the name of the driver of the killer's car. He tells Mary that he doesn't know anything about the killer, as it was not a job by that gang family. Mary then finds the driver and realizing his innocence, doesn't kill him. She shoots him in his legs, but before that, learns the name of the killer of her husband and son. Meanwhile, the Spanish-speaking boy in another place has already reached the village to his wife and son.

Mary looks for the name of the killer in her police database and finds his location. She then heads for Argentina (shown later on). She finds the address of the killer and goes there. At that place, she finds the killer's friend, the another Spanish-speaking man. From him, he takes the location of the killer (the name of the village) and again heads there.

On that village, before Mary reaches there, the boy's (the killer's) bosses comes and takes him out of there. After going there, Mary finds the killer's wife and son. They cannot tell Mary much about the killer's whereabouts, but after getting some information, Mary goes to the border. There she bribes a policeman to learn information about the killer. She learns that, he is coming back through this border on the next day. In the meantime, we see the journey of the killer with his bosses.

Mary rents a hotel and gets a little friendly with the grand-daughter of the owner of that hotel. At night, one man, who gave a life to Mary earlier, enters her room and tries to kill her. But she gets saved. That man also tells Mary that why they have killed her family.

She waits for the killer on the next day at the border and when the killer enters the border in a truck with his bosses, Mary follows them by hijacking a car. When the killers stop at a cabin, then Mary leaves the car and finally, comes face to face with the killer of her family.

My reviews about this movie:

First of all, I'll mark Another Silenceas a below average thriller movie.

The plot is good and so is the ending. But the problem with plot is, it is very simple. Actually, its too simple to keep you attracted. A twist of plot could make it much more interesting. Although, this movie is about the desire of revenge of the main character, but this movie felt more about her journey than about her revenge.

Acting of all the main characters were good. Marie-Josée Croze looked stunningly beautiful but simple in the whole movie. The makeups were also good, where the dialog were very simple.

This movie clearly lacked some action scenes. Even with a plot as plain as this, Another Silence could do better with some more action scenes. Here, several times, the director has shown different part of the journey of the main character in details, which seemed unnecessary and boring. Actually, in this movie, there is not much of excitements. From a thriller movie, the lack of excitements is a big turn off for viewers like us.

What seemed unnatural in Another Silence is, at the end, when Mary saw the killer in a truck, she recognized him instantly, where she has not seen his face or photo ago.

There is no nude scene in the whole movie, and overall, you can watch this movie with kids.

So, finally, although this movie has some good elements, overall it did not seem as a good movie only for the missing elements of excitement. I will not recommend to watch Another Silence to anyone.

Plot:

A man named Greg lands at an airport (details of his journey is not shown). When he starts walking to his destination, a cab stops and the driver offers him a ride by saying a fixed fare. After a little bargaining, they both agree on a price and he rides the cab. As soon as they start, the cab gets blocked by a bus and the driver becomes frustrated saying this happens everyday. When the bus  moves and they start again, a women suddenly comes in front of the cab and gets hurt by it. Greg and the driver comes down and out of
generosity, they offer the girl and a man with him a ride to their destination which they accept.

They start the journey together. The man with the girl keeps irritating Greg continuously and when Greg decides to get out of the cab, he pulls out a gun. They (the girl and the man with her) kidnaps Greg and tells him a story of a “millionaire tour” where some kidnappers kidnaps a millionaire and robs all his money by using his cards at different ATMs. They plan to do the same with Greg.

So, according to their plan, the stop at an ATM booth and make Greg withdraw money from the booth. They don’t use Greg’s cards themselves, because the camera at the booth may catch their faces. They head next to a ATM booth in a store. The girl doesn’t like the idea of using the booth of a store, but the man pushes him. When both of them gets out of the car to have a discussion, Greg tells the cab driver that together they can fight them, but the driver doesn’t agree. Then Greg goes to the store with the girl and after taking money from ATM, he runs off. But that is just for a few minutes, then the kidnappers catch him again. But in the meantime, Greg manages to get rid of all his cards.

They again start their journey in that cab. Now the kidnappers tell Greg that they are sure that Greg is his fake name, he actually is a mysterious con artist who has stolen a huge sum of money from their boss. But Greg keep on denying that and insists on his real identity as Greg.

Now, the kidnappers find that Greg has no cards with him. They make Greg to write a cheque  and in one departmental store, the kidnapper (man) goes with Greg and convinces the girl in the counter to cash the cheque. Then Greg makes a handsome donation to a charity fund from that money, which makes the
kidnapper angry.

They again start their journey and this time, the kidnappers pressure Greg to give his real identity as that con artist, but Greg keeps denying that. The kidnappers do not believe Greg considering the expertise of the thief. They even make Greg talk with the thief’s wife, but Greg says he doesn’t know that lady. Greg tells them about his job as a holy water seller and also tells them the speech he uses to make a sell, but the kidnapper man does not believe it where the girl gets a little confused.

At the night, when two of the kidnappers were having an argument about Greg, Greg suddenly attacks them and in that fight the girl gets shot. Then the cab driver gets out of taxi and shows his role behind the whole scene, or is it?

The next part of this movie is about taking Greg to the kidnapper’s boss, the real identity of the con artist and about Greg’s attempt to get freedom from the kidnappers.

My reviews about this movie:

First of all, I liked this movie. Although I will not mark it as a great movie, but still it’s a good one.

Before watching it and even after a few minutes the movie started, I didn’t expect much from this movie. But I’m happy to find my assumptions proved wrong by the director.

The plot is simple but good. With a plot like this, its hard for the director to keep the suspense up throughout the movie, but here the director has done that tough job successfully.

Although I’ve said the plot is good, but its predictable, specially for those who are the fans of thriller movies. By reading my review, I think you already can guess what will happen at the end. So although the ending is a surprise, but its not what we are not used to see.

Another downside of this movie is its casting. But don’t get me wrong, most of the artists of this movie have played their own part very well, you will not get to see any lack of good acting or anything. But if the same movie was made with more famous, more reputed and stronger actors, then it could bring much more pleasure the viewers.

The dialogues and make ups are also good. Most of this movie is the scenes inside a taxi cab, so according to the plot, this movie didn’t need much of special effects, so there is no overuse.

You can enjoy the whole movie with kids, there is no scene where you will be embarrassed.

I don’t understand why this movie has not got much publicity when it has a good IMDB rating of 6.1 (when I’m writing this review). I couldn’t even find a Wikipedia page for it.

So finally, I’ll mark this movie as a good watch. When the movie finished, I didn’t feel my time was wasted, not even a bit. As I’ve said ago, The Millionaire Tour is not a great movie, but still a good one. I’d recommend to watch this movie to all movie lovers, specially to the fans of thrillers.

Watched it? Then how do you feel about this movie? Let me know in the comments.

Plot:

A guy named Will goes to Spain to spend the holidays with his family (against his will). His father apparently works for USA embassy and right now, posted in Spain.  He, along with his parents, brother and brother’s girlfriend goes to fishing in the sea. Will is continuously busy with his works and that causes an accident which injures Will’s brother’s girlfriend. Will’s dad throws Will’s phone to the sea. To make some important calls and to get some supplies, Will swims to the shore.

When he returns to the beach, he doesn’t sees their boat has disappeared. Finally he finds their boat abandoned with no one in it. He runs to the local police station. After knowing his name, the police take him near the boat and another man comes there, who wants to take Will to the place where his family is. Sensing danger, Will tries to break free and suddenly his dad appears. Together they fight the police and escapes. Will then learns from his dad that his dad’s job is not what it seems and his actions are the reason behind the kidnap of his family.

Will’s dad takes him to an CIA agent and he tries to find a briefcase, which, the agent said, is passed to other hands.  While returning to the car, his dad is shot to death by a sniper. Will takes his dad’s phone and gun and runs for his life while that sniper keeps chasing him. He manages to enter US embassy. The people of the embassy can’t help him, moreover, frames him for killing an police officer. Then the CIA agent (lady) comes to the embassy and offers him her help. But sensing danger, Will runs away from the embassy.
Will gets a call on his father’s phone from the kidnappers who addresses Will’s father as Tom. They give Will a timeline to return the briefcase. The he sees a name on the dial list several times. He calls that number and finds an address.

He goes to that person’s office and finds a girl there who is the niece of the person whom will wants to find. The man from embassy appears there and wants to kill them both, but Will kills him. Then they go the girl’s uncle’s home but find him dead there. The CIA agent comes there and while escaping from there, Will gets shot. But he, along with the girl finally manages to escape. The girl takes him to a nightclub and the people at the (the girl’s friends) nightclub help them.  The girl was surprised to find Will’s father’s photo in his phone. Then they find out, she is Will’s sister.

Will then goes to meet the kidnappers at their scheduled time and place. He finds his family there with the kidnappers. The kidnappers are Mossad agents and after they get sure Will is innocent, they tell Will the facts about the briefcase. Will learns that the CIA agent is the culprit behind all these. The Mossad agents hold Will’s family for the briefcase and also warn him, they have no reason to keep Will’s family alive once the briefcase has been sold to wrong hands.

To get the briefcase, Will then lures the hitman to him in the nightclub by using the girl’s credit card. The hitman is then caught by the nightclub’s bouncers. But they fails to get any information from him. According to Will’s plan, they let the hitman escape and then follow him, which takes them to the CIA agent.

The last part of the movie is all about securing the briefcase, Will’s attempts to save his family and to get revenge of his father’s murder.

My reviews:

First of all, I’ll mark it as an average action movie.

The plot of the movie is good enough, no question about that. But this movie is a little weak on acting and special effects. There are not much flaws on acting, but still it could be better. A better reputed actor at Will’s character could take this movie higher.

I have another complain about the casting. When you start an action movie with Bruce Willis’s name on it, obviously you will have some high expectations. But the death of the character who is being played by him in just about half an hour of the movie, was a big turn down for me.

This movie has almost all the things you’ll want in an action thriller, such as powerful villain, good plot and car chases, but almost all of these lack good special effects in here. You will specially feel it at the car chasing scenes at the end.

This movie also lacks a romantic touch. The main female character is the sister of the hero. It would be better to watch if that was not the case and the girl was somehow attached with Will.

It also looked ridiculous to me that a highly trained evil CIA agent who could shoot to kill a handful  of Mossad agents at the end, missed Will who were just a few feet away from her at the middle of the movie.

Although this movie doesn’t contain any nude scenes, still it doesn’t give any reason to watch it with kids.

So, I won’t recommend this movie to action movie lovers. But still, its not so bad, so if you are looking to kill your time, Watching The Cold Light of Day can be an option.

Silent House Movie Review

Silent House

Silent House is a American independent horror thriller film directed by Chris Kentis and Laura Lau. It is released in 2011. This movie has a very limited set of characters, which is played by Elizabeth Olsen, Adam Trese, Eric Sheffer Stevens, Julia Taylor Ross, Adam Barnett and Haley Murphy. This film is a remake of the 2010 Uruguayan film, La casa muda (The Silent House), which was allegedly based on an actual incident that occurred in a village in Uruguay in the 1940s. The original film La casa muda is notable for its use of "real time" footage and the manufactured appearance of a single continuous shot. Like the original one, Silent House is also shot in a way where the whole movie appears to be one large continuous shot.

Plot:
A young girl named Sarah is seen living with her father in a Victorian house in countryside. The house has no electricity or telephone connection. They refer the house as a vacation house for the members of her father’s family. Sarah is assisting her father and her uncle to fix the house as they are planning to sell it. Most of the time the house is kept empty, so sometimes some outlaws take shelter in this house. To prevent it, they have blocked all the windows with wooden panels. So inside the house, it is dark even in daytime.

One day a friend from Sarah’s childhood visits her, but Sarah can’t remember much of her. Sarah’s father and uncle has some kind of argument and her uncle leaves for that day. Suddenly Sarah hears a noise from the upper floor, so her father goes there to check it. From the ground floor, Sarah hears the noise of her father falling down the stairs. She panics and hides under a table, from where, she finds someone else in the house. She could escape from the room and finds her father unconscious with a head wound. She runs to the cellar and finally could escape from the house, but she also finds someone’s presence in the cellar.

Outside she meets her uncle who brings her back to the house. In the meantime, Sarah had some unusual visions and finally enters the house. Suddenly the generator goes off and she sees someone in the dark in the flash of a Polaroid camera. When the lights come back on, she sees some people in the house from hiding inside a table who were pulling the body of her unconscious. Then she starts hallucinating.

My review about this movie:
First of all, I’ll say, I’ve enjoyed this movie.

The director has successfully created a scary environment in Silent House which may make your heart beat faster at several times in this movie (at least it has worked for me). It does not have any ghost in it, but still its pretty scary.

The effect of continuous shot seemed interesting. To the viewers, the whole movie will seem like it has been shot by one big continuous shot. You can read more about it on different websites and I don’t want to discuss about it (as I don’t have proper knowledge for that), but if the director has taken more than one shot, he has done it very cleverly, it is hard to find where he has attached them. The experience of watching it is different, in a good way.

The plot is also good itself. Before the last few minutes, it was difficult to predict where the movie is going. It may seem like ghost, or killer or anything else, but I guess you wont be able to predict the ending before it has been made clear to you. And still, even at the ending, everything is not explained clearly. Its not an open ending movie, the story is given, but still you will need to work your imaginations a little bit. So at the end, you may find a twist.

The dialogues are okay, but to be honest, I didn’t like the acting of Elizabeth Olsen much. I’ll say the movie is also a little weak on the makeup of the actors and actress. To me, Elizabeth Olsen’s acting here seemed somewhere like Kristen Stewart’s, lacking facial expressions. Acting of the other actors were good enough.

So, finally, as I’ve said, I’ve enjoyed Silent House  This type of unpredictable ending movies are always pleasant for me. I’d definitely recommend Silent House to all movie lovers, specially the horror lovers.

Ending Explanation:

Here is the explanation of the ending of the movie Silent House from my view:

The only real persons in that house were Sarah, her dad and her uncle. All others, including the little girl were Sarah's imagination. Sarah was abused and brutally beaten by her father (and maybe, also by her uncle) in her childhood. Her father had also kept the polaroid photos of her being tortured. In all those years, she has grown her duel personality. Her childhood friend was her own image, so was the little girl. All other people in that house were the imagination of her childhood demons. This personality disorder had led her to her violent revenge on her father and her uncle. All the happenings in the house were done by Sarah in her subconscious state. Everything else she saw were her imaginations. At the very end of this movie, both of her identities combined and she finally understood the reality which was going around her. Understanding everything, she keeps on taking her revenge.

Asylum Blackout Movie Review

Asylum Blackout

Asylum Blackout is a horror thriller directed by Alexandre Courtes. It was first released by the name The Incident in 2011. Then it took the name Asylum Blackout in 2012.

A scene from the movie Asylum Blackout

Asylum Blackouttells the story of George (Rupert Evans), Max (Kenny Doughty), and Ricky (Joseph Kennedy) —three bandmates who spend their days working in the kitchen of Sans Asylum, a high security mental institution for the criminally insane. Their job includes preparing the foods for the inmates (i.e., the patients) and serving the foods.

Plot:
The plot of this movie is about a horrifying night in a mental asylum. The leading characters of this movie works as cooks in a mental asylum. Although they serve the patients food from inside a protected room, but sometimes they face the outrageous behaviors from the patients. They are used to this stuffs. In a mental asylum, it is common for patients to behave in very strange or weird ways, but some of patients’ behavior are sometimes more strange than others, sometimes it seems like some of them are manipulating the others.

Things start to get weird on a night of a heavy thunderstorm. One of the leading characters, George was called earlier than his regular duty hours for that day to receive the supplies. The cooks were already done with their for that day and were about to leave. Suddenly the power fails on the asylum and the entry and exit doors get locked for this. Now they were trapped inside the asylum. It could still be okay, unless some of the patients start to get furious and take advantage of this situation. What would u call a house full of mental patients (including maniacs) without any control system? Chaos? Yes, it is. Due to the lack of electricity, the whole control and security systems fail and the stuffs are outnumbered. Some brutal maniacs start to kill the stuffs and soon, the others join the party.

At first, the cooks could fine some hiding places, but not for long. They called the cops for help, but the cops replied that it would take sometime before they reach here, because of the weather. So soon, like the stuffs, they start to keep falling victims of the patients.

The next part of the movie is all about their fighting, their attempts of survival in this hell until any help comes from outside.

My reviews about this movie:
Okay, a movie with a plot like this is supposed to be frightening, and yes it is. The whole film is shown in a dark-ish view, which perfectly matches with the scary plot. The acting of all the main characters (including the maniacs), lighting and the sound effects is a total success to the challenging job of creating a intense violent atmosphere inside the asylum.

You cannot understand this horrifying situation without some very graphic images. So the director has put plenty of them in it. Obviously, the movie will give u a chill. The make ups and the special effects are realistic and u will be able to feel the haunting atmosphere inside the asylum. Please do not watch this movie with children.

But the most interesting thing about this movie is its ending. If u haven’t seen it already, then from what I’ve written till now, would seem like just another good thriller/horror movie. Actually it is, until the very last minute. I bet, throughout the whole movie, none can ever guess that this might be coming at the end. For me, it was totally unpredictable.

In different reviews, people have written the ending has spoilt this movie. Not for me, I think this ending will make u think about the whole movie again and again. And I liked it.

I kind of find it like an open ending. The director has made most of this movie and has left the ending for our imagination. We may find our own explanation and end the movie according to that. So u can’t just finish seeing this movie. I’ll stay with u for a while after its finished.

So overall, I liked watching this movie and would certainly recommend it, specially to the horror lovers.

Ending Explanation:

I’ve looked over different websites to see how people are explaining the ending. I think, the director has given clue for a clear answer throughout the movie but the clues are too subtle to notice.

Anyway, I’m giving some possible explanations about the ending here:

1. George went crazy after the whole incident and imagining what is shown at the ending.

2. George himself is an inmate all along and his normal life and life as a cook is an illusion in his head (or may be his past life). He leads the whole massacre, so there is no H.G., or, H.G. is just a victim. So, he just sees his actions as they are being done by  his alter ego, H.G.

3. When George was knocked out while putting some inmates to their cellar, he imagined the whole thing. So actually there was only the blackout, but no massacre. He kept dreaming it again at the end.
